I heard that Tom Welling isn't ever going to put on the costume. Something about his contract...

Where is your Zod now?

Nobody Cares About Smallville
AHEM!...Lex Luthor? Lionel Luthor? Two of the greatest evil guys since evil was invented. The Seto Kaiba's of Metropolis.

Apart from that it's toss, but it isn't The New Adventures of Lois and Clarke now, is it?

Um... Lex and Lionel existed way before Smallville. Lionel just didn't have a name.
I always found Smallville rather boring when it really shouldn't have been.
Oh, and they turned Supe's dad into a dick. What the hell!?

True, but they've never been so well played as by Michael Rosenbaum and John Glover though.

Dean Cain is Superman's Adam West. That's all that needs be said about the appeal of that show.

Adam West is the only Adam West. His brand of insanity is his alone. To suggest otherwise is blasphemy.
Its funny, because just being Adam West seems to get him a lot of work nowadays...

I know this is nit picking... but what exactly did he mean when he said "the first Daredevil movie?" Please tell me that that utter piece of shit isn't getting a sequel...

I'm not disagreeing, but MB was projecting quite a bit about Smallville. I watched a few episodes, and while I wouldn't describe it as "terrible", it was far too Dawson's Creek-y for me. Of course, I grew up with "Batman: The Animated Series" (as I'm sure a fair number of you also did), so that's my idea of a good superhero TV show.

I think it's safe to say that MovieBob has some of the worst ideas ever. I like his reviews, but Jesus Christ. I do not want to see silliness, and no one else does either. Superman lifting a continent is the type of shit that turns people off to him.

You can't alienate the Smallville fanbase. Yes, they watch Smallville. However, because of them watching Smallville they will be more likely to see the Superman movie. More people seeing the movie means more chances that more superhero movies will come into play. They have Batman, Green Lantern, Superman is coming out, Wonder Woman TV show. Now to get Green Arrow.

heh...

I hate smallvile

and to be fair, i would watch an "independence day" or "2012" with Superman in it

i mean, isn´t that the whole point?? that he is the only one powerfull enough to stop those kinds of things?!? and they keep putting him against Lex Luthor, put a damn alien in there or even something simmilar to Doomsday, this guy has fought EVERYTHING there is!, and WON

Sort of ironic, that the invincible man of steel loses his fights with hollywood almost all the time.

His only weakness it would appear is getting made in the first place.

Damn, I'm funny! (or not. I am okay with either way)

This should be an interesting movie. By the way, any reason you're picking on Smallville so much? It's not great, but it's certainly not as bad as you make it out to be.

True, but Canadians do it better with Shatner.

As a Superman fanboy, I've always preferred Smallville when the Dawson's Creek crap was put on the back burner and they allowed the mythology to be centre stage. That's why my favourite episode recently is the one with the Justice Society. That's what was what was wrong with Superman Returns, too much of the soap opera nonsense with Lois and that irritating kid.

i have a massive amount of hate for over powered characters. i stoped reading naruto and bleach for the same reason, it's incredibly poor writing to paint some as invincible the have said character owned 3 issues later.

What do you mean the current arc in the comic isn't working. "Grounded" has been fantastic, so far. Its not a bad thing to take a look at the man behind the costume sometimes. That shouldn't be the focus of a movie (at least not the first in a reboot), but for a comic arc, its great.
