First Fallout: New Vegas DLC Exclusive to 360

Bethesda has a Christmas present planned for Fallout: New Vegas fans. Well, some of them at least.

The release of Fallout: New Vegas [http://www.amazon.com/Fallout-New-Vegas-Xbox-360/dp/B0028IBTL6/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1287433043&sr=1-1] draws ever closer. Indeed, for a lot of people it's just hours away, and while most people will have already picked out what system they're getting the game for, a last minute announcement from Bethesda may encourage a few people to change their minds.

Bethesda's VP of marketing and PR Peter Hines has outlined what could best be described as a "good news, bad news" situation. The good news is that there's DLC coming for the game, but that bad news is that it's going to be exclusive to the Xbox 360. Currently no other information is known about the content, except that it will become available at some point over the holiday period.

"We're excited to continue the partnership between Bethesda and Microsoft, and build on the success of the game add-ons released for Fallout 3 on Xbox LIVE," said Hines. "Fans will once again be able to continue their experience in the Fallout universe with the add-on packs planned for after the launch of the game."

It's reasonable to assume that the content will only be exclusive for a limited period, much like the first three DLC packs for Fallout 3 were exclusive to Microsoft platforms for several months. Fallout: New Vegas comes out for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 tomorrow in North America, on October 21st for Australia and October 22nd in Europe.

it'll probably just be something simple that wouldnt be of much use porting over to other formats or something they can easily build into any content shared with the other consoles

Lets just hope it isn't some DLC to fix a horrible ending system like in Fallout 3, otherwise I feel really bad for the PS3 players.
I have a feeling it is just that. *sigh* better get it for the PC so I can mod the hell out of it, and make it open-ended
Also, epic post number! *throws up horns*

Oh, the irony. There's was plenty on Minecraft a few weeks back. It's just that Fallout 3 was a vary popular game, and its sequel is out tomorrow (if you're American, Friday for the rest of us). If you really hate Fallout, come back in a couple of weeks.

RAGE!! (sigh) that disappoints me so much. I think I might change my pre-order now. And I was so looking forward to having it for the PS3. I wish they had told us this much sooner.

Your DLC is invalid.

Wonderful; Microsoft once again abuses its influence to make more money.

Well, I guess they won't mind if I buy the game used then. Because they aren't getting any of my money now.
