Recently got myself a 6th gen iPod nano (the itty bitty square one), and it has the very annoying feature of going to sleep after you stop poking the screen for 60 seconds. Including when it is doing something such as playing music.

Now, googling this brings me instruction on how to change the sleep settings in general using menu items that I don't have, and in response to this specific problem I'm advised to check that the headphones haven't been coincidently unplugging themselves at the exact moment the screen dims.

Presumably there's some way to get it to play music for more than 60 seconds without supervision, but if so, I haven't been able to find it.

Anyone have any ideas?

Well I have one too, and that has never, ever happened to me. I've had that thing playing unsupervised for hours on end, and I never fiddled with the thing. You might wanna get that thing checked out at an apple store.
