8-bit invasion

A thought a occurs.

If there was an "8-bit invasion" what would you (as the sole hope of humanity) use to repel it? Character or vehicle...whatever.

I think our best hope is Ness from earthbound. the guy repeled an alien invasion with just his mind and a frying pan, I reckon he could take on an 8-bit apocalypse.

Now that I've started a reply, I'll finish with, I wouldn't. Your Ness idea sounds good, but then again, isn't he 8-bit?

Either that or capture a few and reverse-engineer them with HEX
