the john dillenger film was pretty cool.

But what I take away most from this list is, another reason to go equilibrium again. And I will literally take any reason to do that.

A list of perfectly decent and sometimes even great movies...horribly marred by the worst Terminator to ever grace mankind's screens! Still, at least you're honest with the man's filmography.
I'm just wondering, have you seen Terminator 3?

Hah, that Terminator movie was so bad it can even break a list of movies.

Yea, I'd rather see the one with dragons listed.

Also, interestingly the first 3 (as far as I remember) Bale movies I've seen were: Equilibrium -> Machinist -> Dark Knight and I watched that within a week or so. It was uncanny. And later, American Psycho. Oh man.

BTW I have a theory why nobody recognizes Wayne at the end of DKR. Because nobody recognizes Bateman, duh.
Nah, Reign of Fire was pretty crap.

I loved Equilibrium and The Machinist. Both movies that just popped up out of nowhere for me and established Bale as quite something to look out for. I also quite liked American Psycho, even though it felt somewhat off after having read the book... many, many, many times.

Valid question. I did not like Terminator: Salvation, but I felt no urge to burn it and destroy it as I did with Terminator 3. Holy hell that movie pissed me off and turned me away from any and all movies for almost a year. What a piece of ass.

Hey, hey, hey, since this is just a general list and not specified for good or action movies, he was in Little Women too.

Pfft, yes, he played Teddy, every preteen girl's dream boat.

Equilibrium is one of my favourite films. Dystopian setting combined with dual wield gun badassery? Count me in.

1984 probably had guns in it, just not with Christian Bale and/or back flips.

Note: You might want to add more to your post before you get mod-wrathed for low content.

I felt Nick Stahl was the worst live action John Connor of all, even Terminator 1 where he was just a sperm n an egg for most of the film.
Salvation I liked, I didnt love the film but at least it felt like it tried to be a decent action film.
Not sure how I feel about a reboot trilogy at the moment.

Yes, I have. And while it's garbage, it was nowhere near as tedious as it's successor. At least for me. Then again, I saw both films about four years apart from one another so perhaps if I re-watched them I'd revise my opinion. HOWEVER...seeing as how terrible they were, I don't really see a need to check 'em again.

And then? Write exhaustive summaries on why such and such is better than so and so in terms of cinematic flair, dialogue, FX, etc etc etc? Then compare notes?

Came expecting to see The Prestige. Was disappoint.

Batman and Wolverine going at each other with magic tricks? I mean come on, that's awesome!
And getting help from Alfred and David freaking Bowie as Nicolai effing Tesla? That was epic! And unlike most people on this thread, I didn't hate Terminator: Salvation. It wasn't as good as T2, but it was measurably better than T3. I thought it made sense to set a whole movie in the post-Judgment Day future, to see how all the time-travelling tomfoolery changed things for Connor.
