With Cliffy's offhanded mockery of PC gamers not liking being treated as second-class citizens, no wonder people didn't like him.AzrealMaximillion said:Good to see Bulletstorm seeing some love. That game got shafted by gamers I find. It came out during a time where people thought it was cool to hate CliffyB games and acted like they didn't enjoy Duke Nukem or DOOM games.
I know how you feel...I know I recently gushed about XIII and that was another quirky, fun, gadget-based FPS best remembered on the PS2/Gamecube/Xbox...CrazyCapnMorgan said:No Timesplitters?

I am a PC gamer. I didn't take CLiffyB's comment as more than a quick joke. My skin is paper thin in that regard. And Bulletstorm is a lot like Duke Nukem and DOOM in the sense of it being a silly over the top shooter with a simply, ridiculous story.RealRT said:With Cliffy's offhanded mockery of PC gamers not liking being treated as second-class citizens, no wonder people didn't like him.AzrealMaximillion said:Good to see Bulletstorm seeing some love. Also, the hell are you talking about, Bulletstorm is nothing like Duke or Doom.
Yeah, but gameplay is nothing like those two.AzrealMaximillion said:I am a PC gamer. I didn't take CLiffyB's comment as more than a quick joke. My skin is paper thin in that regard. I think you missed my point. You brought up the one aspect of the games I compared that's impossible to be similar due to them being nearly 20 years apart in releases.RealRT said:Yeah, but gameplay is nothing like those two.AzrealMaximillion said:I am a PC gamer. I think you missed mine. Just being silly and over the top with a ridiculous story is not enough. Battlefield: Bad Company fits those standards, but you're not going to state that it's any similar to Doom and Duke, are you?AzrealMaximillion said:I think you missed my point. And about it being impossible: well that's not true. It is possible, they just don't want it.

I can't believe this debate is happening. Battlefield is not in the same over the top realm of cartoonishly gory violence as Doom, Bulletstorm, or Duke Nukem. Battlefield is over the top in that typical Hollywood movie sense.
Do I really have to write a meticulous novella to you to explain why I find those 3 games similar? Or are you just arguing for the sake of arguing here?
