8 Games with Great Original Lore

Neato, I forgot you got the ideas for some of these from forum topics. Anyway just an fyi but the setting for the original Thief series and that of the new Thief game (Where that picture is from) are different.

1) Why is Thief greatness illustrated by art for that shitty "reboot"?

Despite the older games having a somewhat different setting, I just really liked that picture.

I'm hoping to see Bioware put Mass Effect's pieces back together for the next game. It's a great series that simply doesn't deserve to die just like that.

OT: I would like to give an honorific mention to Ni No Kuni. Part lore, part game manual, the wizard's companion reminds me the D&D player's handbook with a more immersive writing style.

I would argue The Legend of Zelda deserves a post on this list. It has an incredible lore and now that we knwo of a timeline so many theories and people looking for connections between the locations is down right amazing

go to youtube and look for videos by vortex, that girl has some really cool theories for the dungeons, bosses, and other locations throughout the games
