How about Blood 3 only make it more of a sandbox FPS(with third person mode) or something like Crack Down where you have ?regions? to conquer, these regions can be different time lines or worlds (like medieval time, 1900s, future world, demon world, Heaven(a very warp version thereof), circus world, ect ). Each region would have a main hub and branch from there (and offer fast travel via the map) to unlock a new region you have to find it or be taken there via story. There should be some upgradable equipment that slightly alters how you play the game and 7-10 different weapon/spells per region.

Weapon/spells should be upgradable with merchants in all main hubs. Weapon/spells can be selected in your load out order and or taken between regions once unlocked(unlocking is a bit more complicated than just acquiring the weapon) . Pace out what can be carried to a max of 10 weapons and 10 spells. Basic stats like speed, jump height, defense, melee attack, range attack power, accuracy, reload time, health points, magic effect/attack power and magic points should be upgradable. Also there should be a few vehicle handling stats to enhance vehicle performance and handling. Gameplay would be similar to Bioshock but you get 4 quick attack buttons you can slot a grenade, weapon or spell to, change to grenade does not take much time but from weapon to spell there is some lag.

Or just combine Fallout 3 with Crackdown that would work too?.. LOL

Jade Empire 2 needs to happen! Or at least a reboot or spiritual successor of some kind. That game would be so beautiful made in the Frostbite Engine.
And maybe have a proper combat system other than "lulz I hit you".....

No, we need new IPs with new ideas and new mechanics, not more of the (sorta) same.
Sure just flip the bill I am sure with 5 or so billoin you could make a few new IPs and get their first line of products to distribution....

Disagree on Brutal Legend. While the story was great and Jack Black's voice acting was top tier, the actual gameplay was horrible. The mish-mash of RTS, action adventure, driving, open world, was a horrible idea, as no single aspect was done well. They should have just stuck with a 3rd person action adventure game.
Mmm I loved Brutal Legend, kinda wish the RTS mechanics were a alot deeper with a pause and command system, send each unit type to a different location or setup way points.

I'm saddened that Legacy of Kain isn't mentioned on this list.

Also, i'm still waiting for a sequel to Birth of the Federation.
ARRRRRRRRRRGH. I cannot believe I forgot Legacy of Kain. I had such a hard time with this list. There are a ton of games I'd like to see sequels for, but LoK should have made the list.
I really wish they would go the fable route and make it into a full action RPG or something like Batman:AC....

Beyond Good &...Oh, it's already on there. ,)
Though I was a bit disappointed with the gameplay footage I saw.
I'm not a fan of 1-click parkour-a-wall or do-amazing-thing. That's not gameplay enough for me.
Seems to have more in common with QTE's than anything.

I see that you accidentally left out Freelancer 2 ^^. No worries though, I'll just mention it here.

<spoiler=A list of nice would-be sequels I long for>
Master Of Orion IV
Alpha Centauri II
Titan Quest 2
Escape Velocity Nova 2
Outcast 2
Conquest Frontier Wars 2
Dungeon Keeper 3
Anachronox 2
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2
Imperium Galactica 3
Impossible Creatures 2
Kotor 3

<spoiler=List of games with the ..ahem..wrong kind of sequel>
Fallout 3
Diablo III
Dungeon Siege III
Sword of the Stars 2
You HAVE heard about Star Citizen, right?

Also, yes. Beyond Good and Evil 2. Goddamnit.

Nope, never heard of it..What? ..LALALAA...

I've actually harped on a bit about it in previous posts, but simply put, I can't play in cockpit mode.
And should it come up, I am averse to Online play only as well.

The online bit I can understand, if not necessarily agree with....but cockpit mode? No? :s But it is SO much more, and I hate myself a bit for using the word, but it is SO much more immersive :s

Immersive..snigger..No, seriously though, I have no problem with that word.
I understand however that it's individual and the feeling of being constricted and cramped kills the immersion for me.
I enjoy seeing my ship move as I move it, or have it take fire or deal some of my own.
I can conjure up a ..plausible.. reason for why I can see the ship and that's good enough for me.

Games can do both, as witnessed by Freelancer, Darkstar One, Starpoint Gemini (though badly done) and others.
I think it's just laziness to whittle down options for players instead of expanding them.

*Edit*
I should probably add that I use Keyboard & Mouse when playing as well. No Joysticks or Gamepads for me ,)

Its a bit about balance as well. A person in 3rd person has a wider angle and more screen than a person in the cockpit. Afaik its gonna be possible to fly in 3rd person in SC, but you will miss a lot of information and control about shields, radar and stuff.

I havent used a joystick since my Tie Fighter / Wing Commander 3 / Freespace days...but I'm gonna buy one for SC. Paired with an Oculus its gonna be the closest thing I can get to actual space travel I guess. And a whole lot cheaper and safer :p

I never understood that point.
I've tried it out in the games I mentioned and I do not see more of the area when switching between cockpit and chase-cam.
The FOV stays the same, it's only the inclusion of the ship that changes..
In the cockpit I can't really tell how close to an asteroid I'm passing while outside I get a much firmer grasp of the distance remaining for example.

I'm all for people wanting to play with joysticks as well, again though so long as it does not limit people who play with standard KB&M.

I'm happy for the people able to enjoy themselves with these games, I'm just a bit disappointed they both decided to forgo any other viewpoint except cockpit.
