So AC:Unity won't be alone in the circle of scorned games that are meant to showcase the new gen of hardware...and end up having a host of technical problems.

This is stupid. If a game isn't ready, DON'T launch it!

I know that the earliest games of the generation are more likely to have issues, but this generation seems to take the cake.

Is the "we can always patch it later" attitude getting worse? Or does it just seem that way?

This gen is suffering big time.

EDIT: The worst part is that these are both games that were built on an existing formula. If they were new IP, it would a little more forgivable. Salt in the wound is that new IP like Shadow of Mordor are doing just fine.

Stop buying EA and Ubisoft and Activision games DAY ONE. Those three are ranked as the lowest rated companies, and they all do that on a regular basis. If a majority of people would quit buying these bugged out releases on day one, maybe they would focus more on releasing quality on day one, instead of relying on day one fans and patching later on.

Most AAA releases seem to be released before their time nowadays. Stop buying, and maybe the companies will see (by the reduction in revenue). Plus, the longer you wait, the cheaper the games become.
