Moar Warriors Orochi would be a good start. WO3 is the best Warriors game I've played since Dynasty Warriors 3. It's got a huge pool of characters, a shit-ton of content with replayability and some of the most epic battles in the series. Yet for some reason the publisher doesn't want to make any more of that series.
If Koei ever wants to make me have the most explosive orgasm on record in my pants, they'll make Orochi: Empires featuring the entire cast from WO3's Ultimate Edition. :3

Just imagining it gave me a chubby. >.>
Stop now, you're gonna give me one too <.<
I want more Orochi, especially if they port it to PC like they've done with DW8. I'm sure WO3 must have sold pretty well; it was recieved well critcally wasn't it? Well, as far as Warriors games ever are.

Yes! The series has plenty of characters and classes, they could totally make one. I could see it happening too, if the series continues to get more and more popular.

I feel that Sengoku Basara is a better franchise. The combat is better, the levels more memorable, and it has engaging RPG mechanics.

Dear penthouse Square-Enix...
I think they're doing a Dragon Quest Warrior game (Dragon Quest Heroes). I'm hoping they do a Final Fantasy one as well! It could be a ton of fun after all.

Maverick Warriors!

Play as various characters from the Mega Man franchise, from the first Mega Man to the recent Mega Man ZX Advent, as you mow down the evil Mavericks threatening to... destroy the world or Kill all humans? Something like that. I imagine this game playing a lot like DW: Gundam with the dashing and charge shots and using a special meter for transformations, I think it would work out pretty great.
I'd pay money for that, but good luck getting Capcom to shell out for it.

Hm... I wonder if Sonic would translate well to this kind of medium...

Yeah, that's true. Oh well, I can always dream of what could have been.

It definitely would. Most of the character's movesets make themselves. Amy has a mallet, give Tails some unique gadget or robot, Shadow has dual pistols, and Knuckles has his fists. I don't know what they'd do for Sonic or Sally, but just about every other character has a gimmick that can easily be turned into a kickass moveset. Robotnik can be the main villain, but it's more likely that they'll create a cosmic being. Gives them a proper reason to use Super Sonic. I'd definitely buy a Warriors style Sonic game, but if the Sonic Underground characters don't make the cut I wont give it the time of day.

Also, Sailor Senshi Warriors

I am actually surprised the devs don't release billions of skin packs for their games, because they don't change a single other fucking thing in their games, they could have a completely new theme every week.
But then I'm guessing that is a whole lot of IP/trademark/copyright to work out, if that wasn't a hindrance this shit could just dress up in all the existing franchises.

I agree for the most part.
the levels more memorable,
Most of them are just linear corridors or open maps where you're basically railroaded from one base to the next. I've only played SB3 but almost every battle plays out exactly the same each time. On the other hand, judging by DW8 and SW4, the Musou games seem to be heading in the same direction.

and it has engaging RPG mechanics.
RPG mechanics?

And just for laughs: how about Pokemon Warriors!
Dude, I'd play the shit out of that game! A title I didn't realize I needed until today. Bless you, sir!

OT: ...Tekken Warriors? Street Warriors?

It might be like those side-scrolling beat-'em-ups, but in 3D.

How does a Dragonball one not exist yet? Just about any shonen title would work: Dragonball, Naruto, the aforementioned One Piece, etc.

Personally, I'd be down for Steampunk Warriors or something Lovecraftian, cleaving through hordes of eldritch horrors. Also a zombie killing Warriors game could be fun. Imagine Dead Rising without the annoying timer.

WO:3 did decent enough to show that there's clearly a fanbase for the franchise. As for an Empires spin-off, it would pretty much have to be a purely fanservice game...but not that kind of fanservice game.

I mean they'd have to toss the story in the games right out the window...or at least most of it. Thus they'd be making the game just because they could as a gift to the fans. Beyond that there's no real reason they couldn't make it. All they'd have to do is just come up with a map that's a mixed together version of China and Japan. Since we've never seen an official Orochi world map, that wouldn't be a problem...just make one up! You could have different scenarios for each of the different games to determine who would start with which faction, etc.

In other words: it's totally doable...but sadly it'll more than likely remain a blissful fantasy that will never be achieved.

Gotta say, I'm not certain how it would work...but it would probably be awesome. :p

Metroid Warriors would be cool but allow you to play as other characters as well as Samus, like Rundas, Ghor, Gandrayda, Dark Samus, a Chozo and a few others to battle against Mother Brain, Kraid and, of course, Ridley.

It certainly has more flavour than the main Warriors' games. The characters feel more unique in design and movesets, less reliant on button combos. The combat also has more 'umph' or impact to me. And it doesn't take itself too seriously, it's packed with humour. Too bad Capcom never brought any of the games past 3 out of Japan, but I guess there's always importing, which is what I do.

Anyway, I'd be down for some Final Fantasy Warriors. Dragon Quest Heroes also looks pretty rad.

RPG mechanics?
The reason I found the levels more memorable were the gimmicks that each one employed. For instance the party level, find the goofy captain from his clones, cooking level, don't lose money level, etc. Yes many were linear but I prefer quick to the point levels compared to 45 minute grinds in a Warriors type game.

As for the RPG mechanics part I was thinking about SB4 weapon customization mechanics specifically. I had fun tweaking weapons for the entire cast.

Pokémon Warriors.

Massive battles between the Pokémon as is hinted in the legends. Running around as a trainer trying to guide, order or protect your Pokémon.

Charizard flies overhead as air cover and flames those below. Pidgeot crowd controls with Tornado. Rhydon charges through crowds. Mr. Mime creates walls to block off enemies.

While you can knock out each others Pokémon, the real way to quickly win a battle is take out the Trainer. So you're dodging attacks while ordering your 6 to move or attack in certain ways. Waves of Rattatas or Zubats or whatever attacking you. A last ditch defence of the Pokémon league or whatever.

Bosses? Team Rocket, traitorous Gym Leaders, Mewtwo?

Ooooh, what if they did this, and let you mix-and-match skins?

Play as Goku wielding the Monado fighting Cybermen in Gotham City! It'd be like Action Figures: The Game!

I'll throw in another wish for Marvel or DC Warriors.

Also watch the finale of Power Rangers Time Force and witness what a Super Sentai Warriors could look like. It's not like there isn't a massive number of mooks to slaughter anyway. Throw in memorable villains to play as in free mode like Goldar, Rito, Ransick, Ecliptor, etc and i'd buy it on nostalgia alone.
