As some of you may know by now, I'm not that big of a gamer (shock horror, quick! pelt her with rotten cheese!)
But seriously, I've never been good at the controls and stuff, especially aiming. So my new goal is to complete an RPG in 1 sitting (Maybe 2 if I have to, depending on whether I get kicked off the TV)

A few people have already told me this is crazy, so I'm doing a test run today to see whether I can manage it.
Anywho, I wasn't sure what game to choose before this crazy event. So my brother reccomended me some "easier" RPG's which were either easy to play, or had a decent storyline (I'm all about the storylines.)

Anyway, here's the list of games my bro reccomended for people just starting as a 'pro' gamer. xD

1. Shadow Hearts: Covenant
2. Persona3
3. Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time
4. Blue Dragon
5. Jade Cacoon 2

I decided to go with Shadow Hearts, since I played the first one for a bit and kinda liked it.
I just wanna finish a game without using a walkthrough basically. So any advice or tips, or jokes to keep me entertained would be great. ^-^

I'm about to start as soon as I post this thread, so yeah, wish me luck? =]

What's faster, hot or cold?

Hot, because anybody can catch a cold! Hurr hurr!

And tips... I'd just imagine that the old cliche 'Have fun and enjoy!' would be used in a situation like this. Oh, and blow up your computer. It'll remove the temptation.

Good luck Sky!
Hopefully you don't fall asleep while playing, it could take a while.

If you've found an RPG you can complete in one sitting, well...

That is one garbage excuse for an RPG. Or you're one sedentary individual.

This.

The only RPGs that can really be done in one sitting are some or the more action-orientated WRPGs, and even then you're pushing it.

And please, stand back. If Fallout 3 is anything to go by, nukes kill. That, and Hiroshima.

You should have played Fable 2. Its not that great of a game, but you can beat it fairly quickly.

Anyways..

... Start Ocean TTEOT... No, just don't. It is IMPOSSIBLE for you to beat that in just one or two sittings. That game took my a full month the beat just to main story line, and I even had a strategy guide!

You are indeed insane for trying to do this quest, but I wouldn't limit yourself to only a few sittings. I've only played SO out of that list, but I don't think it's physically possible to beat those in a single sitting.

Good luck, and should you succeed, I'll worship you... or something like that.

Trying to complete an RPG in one sitting?

Sorry, but that sounds a bit crazy considering how long some RPGs can take. I mean, I love Earthbound but the though of trying to complete it in one sitting is insane to me.

Well, good luck.

Aww I'd never pelt you with rotten cheese.
Anyway. If you have a gameboy I strongly suggest Mario and Luigi: Super Star Saga. It wouldn't be in one sitting but it's a great deal of fun. Also since it's easy to see the enemies telegraph their attacks, counter attacking is easy. Other wise it's simple to control

And if a more RPGRTS is your thing I suggest Luminous Arc. The story is...umm. The game play is sound. Could be worth a try. Story seems to go along just fine
As for a console...hmm Not many spring to mind for one sitting.

Good luck girl, if you manage this you're a far better gamer than I (every time I reach the final boss in any FF game, I've ended up losing repeatedly and gave up. This is only because I can't be bothered to grind to jack up my levels). Hope you manage it, anyway :D

Your brother considered Star Ocean easy? Wow, I must have not leveled up very much then, because I kept on dying in the later parts in that game (If you play it on anything other than easy(earth) difficulty, you'll understand.). Other than that, good luck. The only Shadow Hearts I played was From the New World, so I can't really help you there.

EDIT: Oh, didn't notice the "decent story" requirement. I can agree with him on those grounds. Though, I'm still not sure if you can beat a game like that in one sitting.
