Hi guys,
We (Outplay) have just finished our first two online/social games. Don't worry, we're not going all Farmville on you, they're just a couple of simple word/puzzle games - and we're looking for a bit of feedback from some experienced and games-playing folks, so we can make sure they actually offer something a little more compelling than the current crop of social titles...

Would it be OK to point you guys towards them? If not, no problem, we'll return to lurk mode, but if you can spare 90 seconds at some point and we're not violating dozens of forum rules, we'd appreciate it. Thank you,

Preeeetty sure this is frowned upon, being considered advertising, but hey, what do I know? I'm just the guy with a red forum meter for calling someone a jerk once.

That's kinda why I asked. I thought I'd check first rather than just jump in and start yelling 'PLAY ME' at everyone...

Ever thought of a facebook or youtube advertisement campaign? As those things are allowed :p
But advertising here is not really allowed as far as I know.

Unless it's revolutionairy, but then you'dhave to talk to the advertisement people.

Since you're being very courteous about this, I'll certainly give them a look. Where can I find information about the games?

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Oh... not that kind of feedback.
Sorry.

OT:
I'm afraid these sort of advertisements aren't allowed on this forums.
I could be mistaken.

It happens to the best of us *looks at red health bar*. The definition of 'advertising' has changed around here but as long as it's non-profit advertising then it's alright.

Hey guys,
First of all, thanks for your replies and advice. It's much appreciated. I've been a member of forums which have been spammed and hammered before and it really pisses people off. OK, I will be a little discrete and not post the actual links.

If you go to Facebook and search for the apps 'Word Trick' and 'Booty Quest', that's us!

Booty Quest is nothing to do with the new meaning of 'booty' I'm afraid, it's more the pirate/treasure thing we were going for.

They're both brand new and pretty much as simple as we could make them. We're interested in whether these little bite size kind of games are interesting or whether gamers need more depth, more complexity and more options.

Any and all thoughts, comments, questions or ideas are very welcome.

Any problems, just shout. And thanks again. If this upsets anyone, I'll happily scrap the thread.

Cheers,

-OP-
