Hello fellow Escapists, the subject basically covers the entirety of what this thread is about, and that is, recommend me a good dating sim. I've only played a few, but I'd like a crack at some new ones. I'm fine with nearly any kind, even the NSFW ones, so if you have one you like to play, just give me a name so I can check it out.

PS no Persona. I've played them.

PPS if you can think of some mobile ones, that'd be even better.

I haven't played any but I've seen a ton of recommendations across the web for Katawa Shoujo, which is free. Supposedly a pretty tasteful and heartwarming sim in which you date girls with physical disabilities (blindness, deafness, prosthetic limb users, etc)

As an easy first answer, Katawa Shoujo. Great stories with romance, realistic character growth and a gripping, emotional story Plus, it's free!
Along the same lines (though more erotically inclined) is yume miru kusuri.
If you're in the mood for something lighter with a musical focus, try Kira Kira or Deardrops, fun, lighthearted comedy with a touch of emotional drama. Legally available from Mangagamer.com
Top-tier reccomendations would be Fate Stay Night and Clannad

I'll second Katawa Shoujo if you haven't played that. A great romance visual novel with some terrific characters.

I kid, but the Mass Effect series is a nice dating sim.

Honestly though, do you want to just read some nice romantic stories with pictures? I'd suggest finding some anime or josei.

The concept seems odd but the VN Katawa Shoujo, it's about dating a disabled girl.

I know, I know it sounds like a horrible horrible thing, and I thought that too, but I gave it a chance and while I didn't love it as much as some other VN's I've played, the characters are well constructed and all actually have themes built into their story and it has an actual plot instead of "Here are some girls, pick one to fuck".

All in all, it's not as good as its fanbase will shout but it's worth playing at least once, plus it's free as fuck.

Serious answer: Fate/stay night. It's one of the most well regarded visual novels of all time.

Others are saying Hatoful Boyfriend, but their pigeons cannot compare to Grasshopper-tan.
