A certain song

Can anyone name this song? It's an easy listening tune, quiet, peaceful, and I really wanna hear it again, all I can remember is a man and a woman having a conversation in the song, and when I say woman I mean the guy singing the song is trying to say what the girl says (you know how I mean) and the conversation is about how the guy keeps coming back to a certain bar or something and I think the guy says it was the wind that brought him there.

It's an old song, 70s maybe, anyone know it?

Although I think Johnny Cash is awesome, no, it wasnt him, or that song, I wouldn't say country, maybe rock, I know its easy to listen, kind of song to sleep to.....just found it, it's called "Somewhere down the crazy river"

Reading this thread makes me think of "Operator" by Jim Croce. God I love that song...
