Your country is beautiful, your cities (the famous ones (minus LA)) are divine. Your food, whilst unhealthy, has a strong Euro-Germanic deliciousness I cannot describe, you have wonderful weather, fantastic culture (the Deep South particularly), interesting history and enough idiots to make me feel perpetually and infinitly superior (no offence).
Oh, and get this:
You make...fucking...lemonade. I love lemonade. Here in the UK, we only have Fizzy Lemonade. I hate fizzy lemonade, I like it cloudly and natural and flat. We are the only country in the WORLD who dosen't do it properly
And Bagles...god I love your bagles (we don't do them right either)
the fact that the terrorist hate the United states so much it just makes me laugh. also the Oreo pizza "the biggest F U you can ever give the terrorists"
well there seems to be an abnormal amount of fat and stupid people. but i live in Canada so i can't really hate them. plus the have lots of guns and stuff so best to keep on there good side
odd really to most people but I have no prejudice against america and I don't have anythig I like about America either.
All I'm aware of is the stereotype and that their burgers are freaking awesome...apparently.
I love how diverse it is, both in terms of people and in terms of locations. You can go on vacation to a place completely different from where you live without having to leave the country.
2) lots of things that america stands for but rarely actually happen for example: everyone works hard, everyone has a fair and equal tax, everyone pays a tax (but only in their means) and in return the government uses that money to better the lives of the people, some other stuff like that.
3) New England, especially Portland Maine and Boston Mass and the North Atlantic Coastline
4) Rodeos in Montana
5) Alaska
6) Long Beach, CA
7) Native American myths and traditions. I find them extremely interesting.
8) a small number of people who live here
9) american tales (note lack of capitalization)
So basically ideals that dont really happen and a few fond memories/cool places.
That's a Gransport from the mid-'90's ('96 I think). Check out the new ZR1 Gransport- even awesomer. That is a prime example of something good that's come from America.
Okay, our sports cars still don't exactly compare to Italian and German manufacturers overall, but we did invent the muscle car. That has to count for something. And don't forget about Saleen and Lingenfelter.
I don't really like New Hampshire, which is where I live. Many of the people here are complete dickheads. The state motto is 'Live Free or Die,' so we have some of the most ridiculous policies. Our education system sucks (I should know- I'm in my thirteenth year in the public education system).
However, I consider myself to be fairly well-traveled in terms of the United States, since I have been to over thirty of them. I have gone swimming in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, and all the Great Lakes as well. My favorite areas are Texas and the Twin Cities (that's Minneapolis and Saint Paul in Minnesota), because the people there are very, very nice, and the hospitality is WONDERFUL.
Also, America is home to some of the most awesome people in the world: Joe Satriani, Tom Hanks, Steve Vai, James Earl Jones, John Petrucci, Morgan Freeman, Steven Spielberg, Robin Williams, and Mike Portnoy, to name a few.
Some other great things from America:
Pixar Animation- creators of Wall-E, Toy Story, etc
Marvel Comics and DC Universe- that's Spiderman, Batman, Superman, Black Widow, the X-Men, Darkseid, Magneto, Raz al'Ghul, and all the other comic book characters that are the most cherished.
Amazing movies such as 'Dark Knight,' 'Saving Private Ryan,' 'Star Wars,' and 'Schindler's List.'
Well, the majority of the American public are complete morons, and as such living among morons makes me realize how intelligent I really am, so gonna pick that.
