Oh wow, you are right there.Bug MuIdoon said:I really like the art style used throughout the game. It has a slight Michelangelo'ian touch to it.
It only works for the Amazon if she didn't have the head of a childRaiyan 1.0 said:The other day I was having a discussion with a friend on how female designs in video games always follow the default skinny slender build, at best being athletic. Look at fighting games - male rosters tend to be immensely varied, while female designs fall either in the boobs-larger-than-her-head or loli jailbait category, with a few athletic builds thrown in. It was particularly egregious in Anarchy Reigns as Yahtzee pointed out - the men has arms like tree trunks, while the women were all fit to be lingerie models.Grey Carter said:I expect the Amazon will spark some debate, as she looks like the kind of horrendous apparition Sir MixaLot would see in his fever dreams if you were to spike his gin with mescaline.
In this kind of environment, wouldn't you say the Amazon's hyper-muscular design is fairly... progressive? Trust me, I'm no fan of this game's art style, but the Amazon is certainly intriguing.
Yeah, it's a pity those are getting rarer as of late.shadowmagus said:Oh hey look. There is actually an aesthetically pleasing and colorful game here. Who knew?
Pretty much this. I mean, I had heard of the game throughout the internet but had not really paid much attention. This kicker is, these character models are the SAME that they used in the E3 announcement video in 2011! two thousand and frakking eleven, and NOW its a problem?!dmase said:I feel like the only reason this game is getting any attention is because of the gender issues. I mean seriously this game would fade into obscurity if not for everyone throwing a ***** fit about disproportional characters.
I-No from Guilty Gear, if you're familiar with that.Marik2 said:surprised no one has posted the sorceress video

I think they fucked it up by giving her sexy pose promo art, but I guess its progress anyway. (And on a totally unrelated issue nobody here but me cares about, she actually comes pretty close to looking strong, instead of vain like most of the crap art we get of supposedly strong men, her obliques seem to be missing though).Raiyan 1.0 said:The other day I was having a discussion with a friend on how female designs in video games always follow the default skinny slender build, at best being athletic. She's meant to have a huge body and a normal head I think, look at Kratos for comparison.Daystar Clarion said:It only works for the Amazon if she didn't have the head of a child
