A indie game called Soul came out recently, and I downloaded the demo. Now this is not really a "review", this is just a compliment for the game. The game basicly started out with a soul floating over a dead person in a dark hospital, it played alot like crow in hell, in which all walls kill you, and traps pop up to kill you. I made it through the first room, it was very small, but hard to get through (dang monsters). The second room was more about movement then monsters. It was cool because the sounds of monsters and screams made me think a enemy was near, and you can see a person near the end of the stage. I thought it would attack if I got to close, but no, it just let me past. Finaly, the 3rd room. You basicly had to move through some elevators. First two times, I get hit by a wall, 3rd time, I get attacked by a hinden monster. I try the 4th time and "AHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Basicly. a grudge type girl poped up on screan and then disapeared. I got scared, and decided to quit the game after that. But a few seconds later I started to think "Yea, they did scare me, but they did it well." This didn't seem like that type of game to pull off that trick, the game seemed pretty simple and the only scares would have been from sounds and traps. So yea, just a compliment to the game.
SO HERE IS MY QUESTION!
What about a video game have you noticed and just thought the game creaters needed a bravo?
