before anyone says anything im not a game developer or an expert in consumer ideas etc but i just have a cool idea
if you take something along the lines of MAG or Battlefield (a large tactical multiplayer shooter game) and then instead of having guns it is replaced with either swords, bows and arrows or sorcery. with jeeps being replaced by horses, dragons replacing airsupport and catapults replacing artillery/tanks
you can gain EXP to unlock new skills and weapons but essentially being a higher lvl doesnt make you god over a lower level much like modern shooters. The twist being that you must allign with a certain kingdom and you when not in combat you can freeroam the kingdom and chat with freinds and buy new gear etc this gear is taxed etc and means that your kingdoms economy inproves. youre kingdom also gains money for each victory and you gain money for each kill or objective etc, as your kingdoms economy increases more artillery, horses, defences etc become available when in combat
so this means that each victory and everything you do affects you and your team in the long run
