A Crack Internet Squad... We need YOU!

Ladies and gentlemen of the Escapist I have a plan.

What The Escapist community, and the Internet, needs is someone to call on in times of need. Soldiers of fortune, basically an A-Team of the Internet. A squad of people who can be called upon to provide help to those in need. There are a lot of people on the Escapist Holiday council and such who help spruce up people's avatar for the holiday season. I envision a group of different Escapists who pool their talents to make the Internet a more awesome place (imagine 4Chan, but in reverse).

Do you have any skills that you can add to this team? can you write HTML, speak different languages, draw, use Photoshop, have an Encyclopaedic knowledge of Firefly, a master Genre Wars strategist, or any skill you think can be put to good use in the Escapist community?

If so then you can join the team!

If anyone is interested then I'll start a user group, and we can get this thing started.

Also I need a name for the Team. Any ideas?

*EDIT* The E-Team is the best name so far, any better ideas?

Too much free time. Not to mention a vast knowledge of video games, but let's face it that's not exactly a rarity around here.

How exactly would we go about improving the internet? It's not like we have control over the content of it.

We can start here. With Web 2.0 the common user has a lot more power over content. My example is groups like Anonymous who come together to do some serious damage, or work for good.

I'm sure you have some skill that someone could use, can you answer a question about a special topic, make cool Avatars?

I envision a situation where a news story about pre-renaissance artwork, and we say "I know let's call Fluffybacon. He'll know what's going on!"

Individually we are weak, together we can do anything!
