Did you know that the cup of tea I've just drank tastes exactly the same as the cup of tea I had last before I went to bed?

Your mind is now blown.

Did you know that drinking 16 ounces of ice water(0 degrees Celsius), requires the body to burn 17.5 Calories to warm the water up to body temperature. The recommended daily intake of water is 64 ounces (eight 8-ounce glasses). The body will burn 70 Calories if this amount is consumed as ice water.

Did you know that that's not true, and the body needs to ingest 8 glasses of water TOTAL in a day, including the water that is in food? Ingesting 8 glassess of water a day will make your pee oh so very clear, and is essentially just a waste.
It has it's origins in a misunderstood study a while ago.

Did you know that red, yellow and green in descending order are the colours on a traffic light? Did you know this is the exact same arrangement of colours as in the Bolivian flag?

Think about it.

Did you know that poking your nose too frequently will eventually cause it to bleed?

I found out the hard way.

Misunderstood again. Eight glasses a day was an arbitrary number thought up by the author and it has been spread around since it was published.

Did you know that sheep drown when they go to water? The common misconception is that they drown because they have no sphincter and they fill with water but actually it's because their wool absorb the water and becomes so heavy that they drown.

A lot of stuff is like that. 5 fruit a day is actually very bad for you (high sugar content, ignoring tomatoes) and 5 veg a day is useless (you'll get the maximum benefit (reduces risk of cancer) for 5 a week).

230 V AC might not kill you when it hits you. But it might cause your heart to just give up in the next 8-12 hours.
