The global market for tobacco in 2008 was 396.9 billion ( http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/324133/324133.htm ). That's almost 1.1 billion dollars per day. Compared to that, the $145 million from the mobile market is small potatoes - it's about on par with the Western European market for cheese (157 million Euros/day : http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/444901 ).
The internet may be huge, but the old markets for products we take for granted still blow it out of the water.
