Here in the US it is Memorial day.

So let us remember the brave men and women who are still with us or who has died in battle.

All nations are welcome to participate.

When I worked at the nursing home, there was a woman who served as a US Army Nurse (WW2 if memory serves). Her name was Maxin Carr, and was a sweet woman. Not only did she serve but also did so on all 7 continents.

Who do you know that has, or still is, serving your country.

PS no political discussion please, there are other threads for that. This thread is to remember our brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers who are serving.

My grandfather was in the air force during WW2. He didn't have to enter combat, thankfully, but he was ready to defend our country, if need be.
