Let's just hope they grow a couple brain cells between now and the time we track them down and pummel them into agreeing to make a new...worthy CvS. ;)
Shouldn't be Hard. All they need to do is hit a hundred characters. Put everyone from KoF and Last Blade in there, the cast of Onimusha, the cast of Devil May Cry, flesh out the groove system or make a new one based off of it, and we're laughing. Shouldn't be the hardest thing in the world. I'm grateful for Tatsunoko vs Capcom (they gave me Soki and Karas), but still...

Dante vs Soki from Onimusha 4? Yes Please.
Hehe, sounds like the idea my brother and I were tossing about, regarding a Warriors Orochi game, that brought in fighters globally, from all walks of myth and legend, throughout every civilization possible.
They did that in the SvC Chaos comic series, and it was great fun to read for just mindless fighting. I don't see why that isn't done to death in games (anymore)

I wouldn't say CvS2 is my favourite SF-related game (Third Strike, kthx) but it's my favourite versus title so far at least.

My biggest pet peeve with CvS2 is how the sprites from games like Darkstalkers are just stretched lowres low-color CPS2 garbage compared to just about everyone else. I'm not asking them to redraw everyone but god damn it put some effort into it at least. It'd be like if they used the old SF2 sprites for Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li.

MvC2 is even more egregious about it with some of its sprites probably being from the 8-bit age. Roll, anyone?

Yeah I know, it got so bad that the producer for the lastest KOF title made all his artists completly redraw the characters on paper, put them to life and draw them in fully 3D, and then made them redo the whole lot with the 3D models as a base.

Because of that, KOF 2009 looks fucking amazing, everying single frame drawn by hand from the pin point precision of computer modelling, its really good to watch.

first of all ... Sagat is the top tier character in SF4 **i'm not, nor will i ever be a sagat user**

Vega is my main, Ken is my secondary

the reason is that ken is more speed and combo/chain link based (makes sense since vega's my main right?) ... i think ryu is dull .. dunno why capcom turned ken into a pussy whipped weakling though .... AND VEGA INTO TABOO!!! FUCKING BLASPHEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think i have figured it out this guy is just mad that his favorite characters arent the strongest..which happens in oh 98% of all fighting to everyone i think. Well except for me in Mortal Kombat Armageddon i'm perfectly okay with Scorpion being the second highest rank fighter on the tier list
You are kinda right, this guy is mad that Ryu isn't as strong as I want him to be, seriously i'm messing around. Why would I want an overpowered character.

I'm mad that Ryu the front man to Street Fighter has played second fiddle to Ken all these years. And now i'm mad that Eagle in Tatsunoko has moves that give a huge recovery time to your opponent allowing them to counter you straight after you've done a heavy combo, I love Eagle, I love Ryu, why have capcom mistreated them so much?

Historically Ryu is the fighter to use for tactics and defence, like you said, ken is the frenetic players choice of fighter.

If you want to combo cancel and faint a move, then Ryu is the guy to take, but for all these years SF has been about frenetic pace and spamming which suited Ken more, now finally Ryu takes centre stage with his amazing offence and defence.

its almost as if Ryu didn't belong in SF, he was the staple yet his stun and cancelling capability didn't suit the fast paced game. It sounds like he should have been in Virtua Fighter. Now he is the hard ass i've always felt he should be in SF4, and you Ken spammers better sob tears... and let me taste your sadness

Vega? man, your good, Vega is difficult to use effectively

like you said Ken is more aggressive .. difference between tactics with him and ryu are that ryu has time to think ... with ken you need to have a handfull .. and decide which one to use when you only have split seconds to do it (i'm not a ken user that relentlessly spams dragon punch ... they put him to shame)

and thanks ^^ my inbox is actually FULL of mails complimenting my vega .. and of course flame XD ... claw was such a ***** to master but worth it on so many levels .. i'm not the best claw but i've been told i'm way above average

problem with him is the detox .. when ur used to vega playing as others gets very very awkward

so i'm guessing u main ryu ... u on the PS3 bro??

Capcom is made out of sheer awesome. Devil May Cry is the most awesome game series ever.

I'm a Ryu and Abel user, I dont have a PS3, i'm old school I actually go out and play in arcades, which makes it more difficult to become a master since you need to put in 100 dollars worth of money before you know the specials.

Capcom vs. SNK vs. Marvel vs. D.C. vs. Mortal Kombat vs. DragonBall. Okay, go.
You clearly have a firm grasp on this concept of the "Vs." fighting game, and as such would like your opinion on my suggestion for the genre:DragonBall Z vs. Sailor Moon.
It would be a cool idea, actually. Even just a Sailor Moon fighting game would suffice, as long as it had Sailor Jupiter - which, come to think of it, is unneccesary to even stipulate.

Personally, I'd like to see a Mortal Kombat done anime-style, as a means of returning the gesture for the godawful movie-based SF that used photographic environments. Also, a Hellsing fighter would be neat.

...Pretty much anything could be made into a fighting game, though, even if some conceits are better than others. A Bugs Bunny-style, item-based 3D fighter? Done. An animated fighter based on Star Trek? Done. A fighting game featuring all the world leaders during WWII? Done.

A game based on Les Miserables? Done. [http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3123212695835642816]

Custom Grooves easily the best part of that game. Well, that and my ultimate team: Terry Bogard, King, and Ken. Good times. My friends dubbed me 'flying man' because of the fact that I could link multiple Tatsumaki Senpu-kyakus at any given time. I loved that game, and can't believe they released the travesty that was SvC chaos instead of CvS3.
They didn't, really. The Capcom vs SNK series was done mostly by Capcom while the SNK vs Capcom Chaos game was SNK's handiwork. But yeah, even SNK had done way better games in the past.

i dont think ryu is underpowered his strengths just lie in different areas than kens. I mean honestly if you want combos and combos galore you are going to pick ken not to mention his speed and dragon punch are better than ryu's. But if you want straight up strength and defense and power you get ryu. Its like the Hurricane kicks- Ryu's is more an anti-air/distancing attack whereas ken's is a combo element. Im not sure aboout eagle from tatsumoko...I havent seen the game yet, is it out in america?

Everyone has their own "best" characters.
Even someone, at their first play, might play better with some character than with someone else.

Oh yes, that's certainly true, but they just appeared to abandon the series after that title, so I just blame that one in particular. And it wasn't really a travesty, I love SNK titles, but in comparison to CVS? No contest.

And that Les Miserables game looked interesting, a shame the maker made it unbalanced to high heaven. If he gives it a fix I'd play that, I love MUGEN made fighting games or anything similar.

They are amazing, but the fighting engines are just oil and water though. MKs is rapid and everyone has quick combos, SF is slower and I would say more technical with their combos.

Check. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21uvqO1BIa0&feature=related]

Bear in mind the lag and sound is due to the camera, it's meant to be smooth and sound good.

But to be honest, any match-up of universes can be done using M.U.G.E.N., but it's a case of balancing out the characters. I've never put SF vs MK in my game before, but I have lumped just about every other character under the sun in there, including a Sailor Moon character or two.
