I just picked up Oblivion for the first time a few weeks ago (Well, second time, first time I'd gotten stuck 6 hours in, fighting all of the Mythic Dawn members with no weapons). I'm still just exploring everything, doing quests, but it's gotten slightly boring now that I know which dungeons to go into to rake up a good 10-20K worth of loot :(

You're wrong OP: I'M Dovahkiin. YOU are just a copy cat that can shout at people with a gas lamp in front of your alcohol soaked mouth.

OT: A friend let me try Oblivion on his PC a few years back, to let me see if I wanted to get into it. 2 days later, I was at the store and bought it myself. I was hopelessly addicted. That entire summer was a mess of running around actively thinking of what my character was saying and how he was reacting to the events that he brought about. To me, he was a lot more real than more fleshed out characters from other games. The STILL is.

A god on earth, the myth walking down the street. The bards sing in both praise and fear, cultists worship him in madness, and Mehrunes Dagon stopped his rampage through the Imperial City to nod in acknowledgement when he saw him.

I look forward to failing all of my classes and getting fired this semester when another myth walks the earth.

My final goodbyes for Oblivion will be for when im dead and spread across the winds!! I will never say goodbye to what was my first experience to an expansive not one but TWO worlds that is forever growing because of a dedicated and perverted fanbase... plus being able to play Skyrim is going to have to wait, my plates filled with other games and priorities, might not be able to play it till mid December.

I to can no longer even look at Oblivion since I have played it so much. I haven't been to every location, mainly cause of lack of patience, but I'm just done. I have played Morrowind lately though and can't believe what I've been missing out on!

I'm not bidding farewell to Oblivion - just like I haven't bid farewell to Morrowind - because the way I play these games I don't just dive in and resurface when it's all done. I unconsciously take it in chunks with games this big. 10 hours now, two weeks break, another 20 or 30, half a year break, and so on, just doing whatever. Having Uni to take care of means not having the time to sink six billion hours into a single game.

I'm getting Skyrim day 1, but I'll be putting it down when Assassin's Creed Revelations and Skyward Sword come out. Then I'll be picking it up god knows when. Maybe Christmas Break. Maybe before. I dunno. I may wanna explore AC more, or Zelda more. But I'm neither gonna rush nor micro-analyze Skyrim.

I prefer Knights of the Old Republic II over the first, despite everyone telling me that my opinion is invalid.
Knights of the Old Republic 2 is better than the first in every category that I can think of (except compatibility with modern computers). Your opinion is valid.
