A Freespace movie

I just wondered on the public opinion for a Descent Freespace movie, I think it could make great material for a decent movie for a game, and I wonder if anyone else thought the same, if the budget is good the battles could be massive.

This genre for gaming hasn't been touched in ages and I do think it's time for Interplay and Volition to revisit some older franchises and expand upon them. Freespace isn't dead and still has a large cult following for the source code project: Freespace SCP which is last I checked still very much alive and making new additions.

Unnecessary. You can literally just watch the opening cinematic a dozen times and it will be better than any movie anyone could possibly make.

I think it would be fucking epic if they made it. Hopefully they wouldn't do it cheaply and full of camp though >_> I wish they would make like a homeworld type game out of freespace though. I would buy it in a heartbeat.

There are alot of mods for Homeworld 2, and this is actually a very fun mod, so feel free to try it on for size.

I did forget to mention that He didn't include the FS1 ships in game, he followed the FS2 canon and everything would be set as if you were fighting in the time line of the Capella node collapse.
