Take a look at this link and look at all the different game worlds.

Also just out of interest what did you actually think had the worlds largest game map before looking at this or did you know the right answer straight away.

p.s. someone might out retro me with a really old game like ultima (i genuinely have no idea how big this game is so don't hate me if you do know that its bigger)

I thought Oblivions was huge! Well looks like I was collosally wrong, and looks it's only half 1 in the morning here, not a great start to Friday

Already knew.

Daggerfall has long since been hailed as the game with the largest map. Plus i've played it and that game is just massive.

I doubt any game will try and compete with it.

Not really much point, games manage with a much smaller map. Although I would like to see someone make a game on a larger scale, just for giggles.

Yeah its immense and am thinking of giving it another go as I didn't do so well on the first time I played (as in I couldn't get a handle of the controls all that well and died at least 3 times in the starting dungeon) especially after doing some maths realised that its roughly 779 times larger then the WoW map

I want a zombie game, set in a sub-urban/urban environment, with a size comparable to some of these. Hell, it can even be generated procedurally.

And this game should be first-person.

And it should be survival-horror, with an emphasis on melee combat and *realism.*

And it should have really freaking good physics, like Frostbite 2 but better and with fire.

This is my idea of the most fun game ever. None of the bullshit "psychos" and 3rd-person stuff from Dead Rising where a gunshot does nothing against another human, and none of the silly (but fun) combat from Dead Island, which felt like Borderlands with axes (which is extremely fun, but not what I want in a zombie game).

Size can be important. Like in my hypothetical zombie game, it'd be boring if you only get something the size of a neighborhood. Include several square miles, several real square miles, with tons of variation, like what'd you see in a semi-urban area in, say, the Midwest.
