After the EA making the biggest mistakes in their career, isn't it time that the playing community bands together and declare where they stand.

People are already doing it on youtube:

The best thing to do is declare where we stand. So here's the question... if a gamer's charter was written to tell publishers what you want and not want, what would you expect to be on it?

My examples:

- Access to games on any purchasing station (Steam, Game(or Gamestop for Americans), amazon).
- The erradication of Persistant Online Connection for anything other than MMOs and multiplayer driven games (ie NO P.O.C. for Single Player).

It should include commandment-like laws.
ex. "Thou shalt not include a cliffhanger ending in the first game."
"Thou shalt not milk your IP until you kill the genre/IP (see: Activision's Tony Hawk, Guitar Hero, Call of Duty)."
"Thou shalt make immersive storytelling and gameplay priorities."

Those should be fairly obvious.

Hmm..
I got a few:

* We expect to be able to play our games offline.

* We expect our games to be free of intrusive DRM schemes.

* We expect to be treated like valued customers, not criminals!

Thou shalt not make me pay for the specific online use of a game.
Thou shalt not be the game industry equivalent of the devil.
Thou shalt not eat up other studios only to shit them out.
Thou shalt not release games early to fix them with expansion packs.
