A game's name

I remember last year I tried some game, downloadable on pc, it's an online multi-player one, in which you create your own character and the move it, fly with it around the game's world, and meet other people like you. I think the purpose of the game is for English learning but I have completely forgotten the name.
Could anyone help please ?

Kind of vague: was there combat involved? Like did you fight monsters, or was this just an open world to explore with no "game" behind it?

Fly for Fun ( http://en.flyff.webzen.com/ ) is the only MMO I know of that lets you freely fly while not being WoW.

Second Life ( http://secondlife.com/ ) is - or so I'm lead to believe - a virtual online community that you can kind of just do whatever in.
