Wednesday night I was in my National Government class, and I started thinking; What if the gaming community decided to form its own political party. Who would we want as our President and Vice President? What would be our platform?

Judging by my own sanity (lack of) and the general escapists community. I can say that would be a very very VERY bad thing. Though it would be fucking awesome for us. DIE PALIN!
In regards to platform, it'd have to one everybody liked.

We already have enough people vying to run an oppressive government as it is, we don't need our own people going into office to screw us over.
And if it hasn't already become apparent, we almost always disagree about pretty much everything, so we wouldn't be able to unite very well.

On second thought, we would probably have a lot less enemies then...
1.)It would be called the (your country here) Gamer Party.
2.)Our political symbol (The democrats have donkeys, the republicans have elephants) would be a controller.
3.)The Goal would be the advancement of gaming as an artform and the protection of gaming as a right to all people. All other political views would vary depending on the gamer.
4.)Our nominees would depend on the country of course.

It'd be a terribly bad idea. What would we do? Gaming isn't a political view. It doesn't affect the problems of the world, it just hides it with bright colors and fantasies. Oh wait...
