i, myself, cant find the urge to stop playing video games and dont see myself stopping anytime soon, so i ask this question to ppl who dont play video games ( and it can go to the ppl that do play) how is it like to not play video games and what has fill that void? ( p.s. i know this forum has been done, and theres no point in telling them if it was because how many times have you seen that person stop remakin forums.)

Maybe you should spend less time on games and more time listening in English class.

I'm playing the 'you'd find something else to do and cope with it' card.

Truth is when your grandpappy that no one listens to who goes on about how your a lazy adolecent that wouldnt last a moment in a war while you play "Them dingalings on the idiotbox" (videogames). Also had some sort of thing to occupy himself with at your age like toys.

Before Video Games there was a thing called outdoors.
Now outdoors was a wonderful place at the time, with things called trees and animals. Most entertainment was brought from outdoors called camping, sports, even a simple action of walking was enjoyed in outdoors.

Of course this "outdoors" may be nothing more than a myth because scientists have little proof of its existence.

I remember a time when I didn't play games... It was about 2 days ago while I was at work, thank god thats over, real life is scary. Better go back to playing Left 4 Dead to calm myself down.

The Human mind has an almost infinite capacity for distraction. Without video games you have any number of things to choose from;

Books
TV
DIY\Gardening
Movies
Music
Sports
Porn
Tabletop Games
Roleplaying Games
Traditional Games (Chess, Cards, Dice etc)
Art
Education

And many more!

I'm not allowed to play games for one day a week (stupid parents rule). On that day I find myself watching a lot more TV than normal, reading game fanfics (or indeed writing my own) or joining and posting obsessively on internet forums. Today, in fact, was a no-games day.

Which is why I'm here now. Hi everybody.
