Too much dislike is this thread! Damn guys >3>

Me, I think this looks really cool. I like the idea of going between two worlds like that, and any possible new characters that Lorule will bring could very well be quite interesting. And, we finally get to see a bit more of how Link acts, like in the cut scenes, and I happen to like it quite a bit. Plus, the game looks really good. I'll buy it, no question.

Really? Hyrule and Lorule? Is there a "Midrule" in between? or does this universe not have a middle class?
If you need me, I'll be in Leftrule, but never forget, I've got friends in Lorule places.

About the dumbest thing I have heard today. Of course, what can you expect from Nintendo these days? It's like Nintendo is that friend that fell behind and didn't grow up with the rest of us and he still lives in his mom's basement at 35 watching reruns of crappy anime from when he was in high school and talks about it like it's still relevant... sad.

Nintendo had a real chance at doing an "Adventure Time with Fiona and Cake" thing here by making Link a female, Zelda a prince and Gandondorf some scary witch woman. I guess one out of three... ain't bad?

I'm kinda disappointed they didn't go the whole way with the mirror universe thing. I mean, what's mirrored about another princess with a different name?

As I walked into this thread the sheer amount of cynicism smacked me in the forehead like a brick. I think it's going to leave a mark...

I'm quite looking forward to this. I've played the original Link to the Past on my gameboy advance and now I will continue the tradition of 2D handheld Zeldas with this one. The villain is interesting to me, her magic seems to deal a lot with dimensions. She looks as if he can shift herself or other things into a 2D plane and back easily. I'm curious what she will do with these abilities and what kind of boss fight we could actually expect that take advantage of Link's ability to enter walls.

Lorule is kind of a silly name, but at the same time it's meant to be completely parallel to Hyrule from my understanding. It would have been more interesting if they made the princess of Lorule the prince of Lorule though. I mean they already gender swapped the villain, so why not the royalty? But with that aside I'm interested in how this game will play out.

...So considering this is a sequel, did the light/dark world just got completely forgotten? Still, I would to know who many people would just buy a 3DS for one game. I won't.
Pokemon X and Y would have likely solved that problem already for a lot of people I'd think.

So we have a light Hyrule and a Dark Lorule with a princess Hilda. Didn't the Legend of Zelda already have a well liked and established Princess of the Dark version of Hyrule? Seems like a missed opportunity to bring back a fan favorite character.
Isn't Minda in another time line? (and place IN that time line?)

really, people still thinking "ho, 3ds have bad games, i'll wait for having better game to buy it" after 3 years and 50 millions consoles sold ? by now if you havent found i reason to buy it, it's maybe that you most likely never buy it...

and that game look fantastic. a link to the past is still one of my favorite games ever.

Of course it's Lorule. What else could it have possibly been called?
Then there's Hilda too.
This is amazing.
If I had a 3DS I'd probably get this.

That pun is just... no. Sorry, its awful.

Excited about the game, but whoever came up with that needs to be sentenced to some community service. So he can think about the crime's he has committed.

If Lorule is Hyrule's mirror world and it has it's own bootleg Zelda, is there also a bootleg Link somewhere? If there is he can't be a hero because Hilda says Lorule needs one. Maybe Lo-Link is that blacksmith type guy or some kind of villain?
Isn't Link supposed to be the avatar of some timeless green-clad hero boy that is always born when Hyrule needs him most? Sort of a cross between The Last Airbender and Chronicles of Narnia? I imagine it's not that much of a leap to think he's also a cross-dimensional avatar in addition to being timeless.

Because it's not as if ALBW will let you rent items and discover/complete dungeons in any specific order or anything. Oh, wait...
So I guess you're also excited for the exciting new features in Call of Duty: Ghosts, then.

I thought I was going to be the cynical one here, but you guys have surpassed me by kilometres.

So yeah, It looks very similar to Link to the Past, which might sound stupid considering this is a sequel to said game, but then why change the name of the princess? She looks exactly like Zelda and is your bog-standard damsel in distress. The villian is also pretty similar to Aghaninimiinininmmnm from that same exact game, but with an easier to spell name and changed (?) sex. Now you're going to tell me they plan to use the same exact level design that in a Link to the Past.

Also, Lorule? Someone deserves to be slapped for that one.

another zelda oh man im so stoked

seriously can nintendo make some new fucking IPs its been 20 fucking years for christ's sake
They may be the same characters from 20 years ago, but they've made plenty of "new" IP's.

Smash bros, Metroid prime series, etc.

If by new IP you mean a new character... why? You're not going to just pull a character out of your ass and have them be as iconic as Mario. Would be a waste of time and resources.

OT: Meh... not fond of the new art style. Clashes too much with Link to the Past to even be considered a sequel in my book.

Oh Zelda, when did I stop caring for the series I used to love so much..?

You can only play on the oldschool generation's nostalgia strings so many times before they are worn out, Miyamoto man.. how many more Link and Zelda variants are you going to spawn in the cloning vat before even you get fed up with the IP? Let, them, go.. and come up with something new. Give us a new hero, and a villain Link or something, if only so we can put the poor leprechaun out of his misery once and for all.

I actually think this game looks rather fun at this point, so I'm not trying to hate on it, but are you seriously trying to pass off "do the levels in any order" as something new and interesting? I'm much more ready to praise Nintendo for making a new top-down LoZ game than for catching up to a concept introduced in the original megaman.

I'm genuinely hoping that the conflict between the two princesses will involve politics and an extremely thorough examination of the Hyrulian/Lorulian economies, as well as a comparison between their respective governments and political structure (Constitutional Monarchy vs. Imperial Hegemony or something).

Also that Nintendo will realize the irony of having a 3D character enter a 2D state in universe on the 3DS and include 4D puzzles.
