A Love Reignited?

After over a year away from the game, I've just reinstalled Call of Duty 4 to kill some time on the good ol' multiplayer. The same multiplayer I had gotten bored of long ago.
However, it was a blast! Seems the time away has reinvigorated me and made the whole experience seem fresh again! ... Unfortunately it's also sapped away all of my skill, and for the couple of matches I played I was everyone's chew toy.

My question to you, good Escapists, is that is there any game you had well and truly gotten bored of, but fallen back in love with later in life?

The splinter cell games, they grew old on me, but now they appeal to me much more.

Super Smash Brothers and I have an on and off relationship. Since I got my 360 and moved off to college, I haven't had time to practice it, and so when I play with my friends my once honed skills with Pichu have become relying on easier characters and going with the better known strategies.
My Call of Duty gaming was great, until Left 4 Dead sapped all hopes of precision aiming. I still play the game, but it is a difficult relationship now.

Front mission 4. Sunk 120 hours into it, got bored, played FPS for a while, came back, sunk another 120 hours.


Funny thing is, I'm still not done with it, I've been stuck on the last mission for like a year now.


Also, every Jak game ever made.

Battlefield 2142. I was awesome, now I'm just average. I played on it the other day, and flying around in those gunships was a blast.

You know what? I think I might go play it now.

Games in general. I will stay hooked on them for a while and then just get bored and do other stuff.

Oblivion.

I used to play it on and off mostly due to the awful leveling system. Then i got Fallout 3 and got nostalgic for swords, magic and Patrick Stewart.

Since i bought Fallout 3 i've played more of Oblvion than i have Fallout.

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat.

Every time I go back to play that game (if I can even find a match), I am reminded of when I was almost the best it's depressing.
