Here's an interesting tidbit I picked up recently for you Mass Effect fans. Note: this probably doesn't apply to you if you've only played male shepherd.

I was watching Scooby Doo direct-to-dvd movies, as I'm prone to do, when I heard something. The voice of the lead singer was very familiar. (Here's a link to the song if you want to listen for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-QG-Pv0vaA but I warn you, it's pretty lame) I IMBD'd her and realized it was the voice of Female Shepherd (Jennifer Hale). Nice bit of odd trivia, but hey, voice actors have to make a living right? Her voice was bound to end up in more than one movie or game eventually. You don't make a forum when you see Tom Cruise in two different roles.

So why is this interesting? Well, one of the other singers (Luna) is Ashley Williams (Kimberly Brooks). To me, that quadrupled the significance of either of their appearances in the movie. I immediately looked up the third singer, hoping that it was Tali, but I was wrong. The third "Hex Girl" as they're called, isn't in Mass Effect at all. I watched the rest of the movie imagining how Commander Shepherd could have gone from being the lead singer in this wicken band to savior of the Galaxy. If you want to hear them speak for yourselves, the movie is called "Scooby Doo and the Witches Ghost". This isn't really earth-shattering news, but hey, now you can get from Martin Sheen to Tim Curry in two steps in 6 degrees of separation.

So, how do you think she went from wicken-rock star to Spectre?

Hale is a voice actress, she's all over the place, from Disney films, to Samus' grunts and screams in the Metroid Prime games. She's very talented.

Interesting Tid-bit. Jennifer Hale voices the God Persephone from the game Sacrifice.

I'd like to think of her as the female Steven Blum. She's in EVERYTHING.
