A new Castlevania game

One of the things I hate most about the hype industry surrounding games these days is the 'teaser trailer'. You know. Those "trailers" that are actually just a five second cgi clip followed by the game's title and a vague release date (which varies from 'coming next season' to coming: whenever the fuck we feel like it) Nine times out of ten they're just there to confirm that the development team is working on a sequel to big series (or they're there to pull attention away from competitors exclusives) and in that regard they're absolutely fucking pointless. Wow. Sony is making a new God of War game for the ps3! I totally wasn't expecting that! It's a good job this cgi clip which is shorter than the time it takes me to breathe once is here to let me know that yes, Sony are working on a Sequel to one of their best selling video games and yes, it might just be on the playstation 3.

Anyway. I digress. There's a new Castlevania game coming to current gen consoles! Will it be good(2D)? Will it be mediocre(3D)? Will it be a odious piece of shit(a 3d fighter for the wii)? Who knows, the trailer is about 3 seconds long and tells us precisely fuck all. I'm assuming it will feature skeletons. And perhaps whips.

Anyway, related to the trailer (which I managed to find and view)
... The only things I managed to get from that was that A) It won't be on the Wii and B) It'll probably be Castlevania-themed. Maybe. If it wasn't labelled "Castlevania" I probably would have mistaken that dude for Dante.

It's a guy with his hair blowing in the wind. Capcoms idea of a teaser is the front of a Harlequin novel? What terminal reject thought that was good marketing? "Lets show the fans a two second, dramatic shot!" "Of who?" "No one they recognize" "Your a genius Iga!"

I will point out they ARE making a fighting game (ugh, oh god...) so this could be part of it. Or, it could be a seperate project- i'm going to bet it's a 3d game though. The character SEEMS to resemble the Devil Forger whose name I forget because he was an uninteresting protagonist from Curse of Darkness, a game i'd like to forget because it stole 50 of my dollars then kicked me in the balls.

I say SEEMS however because all Capcom characters these days are effectivly the same metrosexual character but with different color highlights and lipgloss. For once give me a goddamned Belmont with some muscle definition, afternoon shadow, and an eyepatch or something.

Hmm... Solid Snake fighting vampires...
