For all those TES fanatics (myself included) it seems that there is hope after all for a new TES game. The link explains everything. I am personally happy about this and certainly hope to see a new TES very soon. Thoughts opinion?

Am I the only one who finds The Elder Scrolls' universe to be a completely boring, generic mess, and that Bethesda should just create a new world for their next medieval fantasy RPG and risk creating something that's actually compelling?

Which of them do you find boring?

Because they're all extremely different from each other. I mean, Morrowind was completely different from Oblivion, in both setting and atmosphere.

Well you certainly are not the only one. But I'm sure the people who love Elder Scrolls would heavily outweigh the ones who hate it.

Also, they create a new world for every TES game, everyone has been completely different and individual in their own ways, so really you are just asking for Bethesda to do what they do best. :)

Actually, they're all in the same world, just taking place on different continents/regions.

Thats true. Brazil and The Arctic Circle are both on the same world, but it does not mean they are anything alike.

I do see your point, and you are entitled to your opinion, however I just do not see how they are similar.

Would it make you happy if they simply dropped the TES title from the next game, dropped all reference to Tamriel or any TES Lore, and still made it a medievil Fantasy RPG?

I will shit with happiness when TES5 is revealed, and hype it up in my head so much I pass out and have to be revived by Count Hassildor burping in my mouth.

Nope. I felt the same way in Oblivion (admittedly the only one I've played). It's too much same old, same old. Oh look, giant rats and goblins and knights. Where have I seen that before? *rolls eyes.

Now the Fallout universe I loved, but that was there before Bethesda showed up.

Given reasonable depth, I can immerse myself into pretty much any well thought out fantasy world there is. Whether it's heavily dependent on tropes or not. Needless to say I didn't have too much trouble getting acclimated to the TES world.

My feelings exactly. After finishing Fallout 3, I was looking for something to draw me in enough to want to finish it. I tried Oblivion, even played a few hours. It just didn't grab my attention. That said, I'm having a really hard time finding any game that makes me want to keep playing.
