A new perspective on Immortality

Seems to be a lot of threads about people wanting to be immortal. Please refer to this for some reasons as to why it might not be so great. Don't get me wrong, being immortal would be fun and all, for about the first 50 years or so. But, Escapist Users, you've gotta start thinking long term on this. You'll be alive for a very long time, and things will change.

That cracked article is bullshit. "Time would zoom by you". There is no metric in the universe to measure scientifically how long somebody thinks something takes. You think time whizzes by you when you get older compared to a child, it's because you're busier. Try standing around in the DMV's line for four hours and watch as time miraculously slows down again. It's also making the assumption you would discount information unlimitedly. For that matter That cracked article is how old? How is this a "new perspective"?
