A new PS3 owner

So i recently bought a PS3 and i got a few games for it Demon's Souls, Infamous, Haze and Resostamce 2. Yes old games but i didnt have much money to work with. iv been tryng the PS home and the PS store and found it vary fun. But comeing from xbox its kinda odd the store when you download something you must then go into the download list and download it again, why?

I would have to say the Uncharted games 1 and 2. They have been out awhile so they wont be super expensive. They are great games and I really enjoyed them plus they have some great humor to them.

The Download downloads it, afterwards your installing it. Pain in the ass I know.

Look into the Uncharted games, great titles.

I would have to say the Uncharted games 1 and 2. They have been out awhile so they wont be super expensive. They are great games and I really enjoyed them plus they have some great humor to them.

I'd suggest Fallout 3, dragon age origins, maybe grand turismo,Dead Rising 2, Batman Arkam asylum, of course call of duty but i bet you played that on xbox.

Go hit the psn market. I became a ps3 owner during the ps3 outage and totally cashed in on the free games so along with little big planet game of the year edition I have infamous and wipeout HD. Score. Seriously though go look at the psn market they've got lots of things with the exception of indie games which sony is not as big on but personally I don't really buy those types of games anyhow not when old school psone games I haven't played in a decade are for sale and at really decent prices. If I were you I'd buy a 20 dollar pre paid card and start looking at some options.

Once you've downloaded it, you don't have to download it again, you have to install it. PS3 won't install things automagically or in the background for you with the exception of things that guarantee you aren't performing other functions.

The PS3 does in two steps what the XBox does in one. That's why the XBox takes so much longer to download things, because it is installing them at the same time. There's a reason it takes an hour to download Castle Crashers for XBox and ten minutes to do it on PS3. The Playstation just smacks it on the hard drive.

Also, don't overlook the "PS1 Classics" section of the PSN store. Great old games for about $5 each. I'd look at Parasite Eve, Final Fantasy 7, The Spyro games, the Crash Bandicoot games, and the Oddworld series...

Thanks, i used to have a Warhammer 40k HULK game for the PS1 befor it got stolen. and thats for the tip of little big planet, can i donwload wile playing online?

Good point Harry Mason, Final Fantasy 7 is a game with the 10 dollars its long and tons of fun. Metal Gear Solid also is great. Resident Evil is also very popular

Ooh! I forgot about Resident Evil. Man, there were so many great games for PS1... MediEvil and Silent Hill 1 are two other good ones on the PSN store. I can't remember whether Chrono Trigger is on there... Everyone needs to play that game.

Another thing you have to look forward to, being a PS3 owner, are the great "PS2 Classic Collections" they've started coming out with. You can get HD remastered versions of the God of War and Sly Cooper games, and Silent Hill 2 & 3, Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3, Ico, and Shadow of the Colossus are all coming out soon. They are all two or three great games on one disk for $40, and some even have special features. Pretty cool!
