We're all familiar with the */10 or */100 rating system. Just for fun, what do you think would happen if reviews started to rate games based on "how much they're worth".

So, for example, Dragon Age 2 instead of getting 9/10 critic scores and 3/10 user scores, it might get $50/$60 reviewer scores and $10/$20 user scores - unless someone really hates it and says it's worth 0 lol.

Anyway this is just for fun but what do you guys think?

I sorta do that anyway ... "that game is a bargain at $10" or "I'm waiting until this one gets on a 75% off sale, 'cos when EB says it's worth $110, they're a bunch of retards."

I like that idea, but developers & publishers certainly wouldn't like that. It would encourage retailers to sell bad games at a huge discount, thus the BMX XXXs and Maiden Rooster Updates of the world would make even less money. Although I do think that if we did sell bad games for cheaper than good games it would definitely improve the quality of the art.
