My idea is that either to make a world where your followers live on, as they adjust to the climate and environment. You (God) would have to either help them, make it harder, or just sit back and watch. You could let them not believe in you, or make them all follow a theocratic dictatorship. The rest would have you trying to win a war against a rival god and his followers in any way, either through diplomacy, trade, or war.

You sir just described Black & White.

But yeah, I'd love meself some more Black&White-esque God games.

I like that idea, but something actually better thsn Black and White, because it sucks ass. Not a game so to speak, but a simulator. Anything like that?

Oh gods dont get me started on Spore...They promised so much and gave it all...just in a really...REALLY sucky way.
