I think we all have one. You know what I mean. That guy who goes around like he is all that. Obnoxious as hell, he claims he is a genius in some topic or other. His life is supposedly perfect until you point out a contradiction, at which point he is suddenly "tired".
Anybody have stories? I think I will start (and possibly end, if this thread fails) this off with a story of my own.
For the purposes of my fearing for my life, we will refer to the friend as "DB".
Before we became friends, I genuinely thought DB was cool. Then we became friends accidentally, what ensued could possibly be considered FML worthy. I soon found DB's claims to be fake and stupid. DB thought he was a fucking genius with computer hardware, software, etc. just because his dad worked at IT. As a network engineer. He fills out forms, which is about the extent of his work. Anyhow, DB always claimed his PC was godly (2 GHz dual core processor, 2 gigs of ram, 128 mb ATI radeon 9800 pro. Basically nothing special, in fact it was outdated), and that he built it himself and could build another whenever he wanted, because he could spot good hardware a mile away. To test this claim, I took the 2,000 dollar build on the PC-Hardware thread on this site, claimed it was a 500 dollar build that I wanted, and asked him what he thought. Being the cynic that he is, he began ranting about how core i7s are budget priced because they are crap and it was only to be expected with the price. I never told him the truth about that day, but I figured then was the time to cut all ties.
Sorry about the long paragraph, LET THE POSTS ENSUE!
