Hey people, got a small problem and I'm wondering if you could help me

See Windows 7 is giving me a WGA notification, I purchased it from Amazon.co.uk through a third party seller. It came (after some hasseling) a few weeks later, all sealed up, security tags in one piece and ready for me to use.

Now 4 months later it's telling me it's not genuine. After some slow and annoying communications with Microsoft apparently my product key is from the MSDN beta test last year, which should not be possible given I recieved it in the above paragraphs conditions.

I'm trying to get Microsoft to conceed a database error (HA! *Edna style, go on read that again in her voice, you know the teacher from The Simpsons), or if that fails I want to try and trade a legal product key for the bastard that sold me it, he sent me his name, account number, sort code and bank through amazon for payment.

Yes in heinsight the transaction seems dodgey

What do you think happened here, am I right to be fighting paying them a for a second copy of the damed OS?

I'll check back when I wake, it's been keeping me up the last 4 hours so I'm hoping I can sleep easier now with this all off my mind, speak to you all in the morning

No, not the end of the thread, I had a cracked XP and it slowly killed my PC, I wish to stay away from cracks especially seeing I paid £130.00 for it

seems to me that the problem was isolated within your crack. I may or may not be running a Windows 7 64 bit ultimate edition crack that I've had since day one that I may or may not have obtained completely and utterly for free and if I have happened upon such a thing, I assure you no harm has come to my computer because of it.
