Hello everyone,

I am going to ask a question that I know everyone will know but me. I just got on Xbox live(i know i should get with the times). Can I download DLC for a game even if I am not playing it at the moment? Ex. I am restarting my mass effect games so i am back at one but would l be able to download stuff for mass effect 2 (i have the game). I just want to make the most of my free first month.

Thank you

You can do it either way, ie: By playing the game and downloading the DLC from the games' menu screen OR by loading up the XBL marketplace in your dashboard and downloading from there.

Thank you for the quick answers. Now is it better to put the games in question on the hard drive in regard to the DLC question?

The only games I have on my hard drive are XBL games I've downloaded like Trials HD and Deathspank. And Halo: Reach for some reason. But other than that I keep all my games on disk format and use my HD for downloaded content only. I don't know whether that's the best way but I've certainly run across no problems.

So yes, you can keep the game on disk and the DLC on your hard drive and they will still work together.
