I have a question for all the American members. I'm sure some of you use or have used Gamefly, and I wanted to know what you thought about it. Is it worth the 20 bucks a month to rent 2 games at a time? how good of shape are the discs in? Do the mailers the games are in display all the info about the game on them? I'm curious, because since I live in a small town, there are not any real video game stores, so I am trying to decide if this would be a good way to get new games. I figured, you can try games be fore you buy them, and it seems cheaper than renting a game from the rental place at 8 bucks every 5 days. So, what do you guys think? Thanks for your help!

If you're renting a game from Blockbuster for 8 dollars every five days that's over 50 dollars a month, so go for it, you'll save a ton of money and get more games cause you can have two at a time. I personally don't rent games often enough for GameFly to save me money, but I do use NetFlix because I ended up spending $50 a month renting movies in Blockbuster.

I'm much happier with it, GameFly would end up serving the same purpose for you.

Do you play a lot? I don't, so I went with the 1 game at a time for the 2 months I had it.

how good of shape are the discs in?
They always have scratches on them, but they've never been bad enough to affect the game. They are noticeable though.

do the mailers the games are in display all the info about the game on them?
If by information you mean the little paragraph that says what the game kinda is, then yeah. Not sure what you're really talking about here.

Yeah, Gamefly is pretty solid. I used the trial month thing, and played a good deal of games meant to be rentals. The best part is that most of the time, when people deem a game "to be rented" it never gets played.

Gamefly lets you do that quite easily. I seem to remember their deliveries being really fast, too.

I don't play alot, alot, but I do play quite a bit. Right now my college classes just started, but the nice thing about internet classes is I can do them when ever I want, so I have plenty of time for other things also. I would probably just go for the one at a time though. there are just alot of games I want to try, but don't want to rent from blockbuster, and this seems like a good way to try games out.

I've been with them a year, and I really like them. The only complaint I really have about them is it can be hard to get older games due to the lack of availability - and they won't sell older games unless they still have them in abundance(xbox, ps2). By hard to get, I mean it could take a few days more in turn-around time than usual - which isn't all that bad.

If you want a free trial code (I think you don't need the code, but what the heck?) let me know. You can try it for like 14 days or something like that.

Having a game from Gamefly for a month is a lot cheaper than buying it or renting it from other places - plus, if you want to buy games, you get discounts.

Actually, I was able to find Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth on Gamefly, so they might have other rare games as well.

I agree, gamefly's a great way to get games. Way better selection and deal than blockbuster. Haven't had any issues with scratched disks though.
I'm on the 2 at time which is great because I always have a game. Ship times is about 2 days. Like SmugFrog mentioned, the discounts on buying games are really nice, plus reward discounts the longer your a member. Also, the keep it feature is awesome when you get a game you know you want to play for a while.

Check out the deal with xbox live. $6 for a 30 day trial and they give u 400 Microsoft points. Might want to look into it: http://www.gamefly.com/live

Has anyone checkd out the Gamefly SuperFan Videos? http://www.gamefly.com/superfan
