alrighty, im in a sticky situation sorta and im not sure what to do. So my friends computer broke down a while back (one that i sold to him when it was still working a few years earlier for 100$) and doesnt use it anymore and i asked if i could take it off his hands to see if i can repair it since he's not using it anymore and he said ok. now its about a couple months later and i finnally got the damn thing working (new parts + tryin to figure out what the hell is wrong with it + school = long damn time) so i start playing WoW, got bored and made a video. 5 minutes after posting it my friend posted a text saying he wants his computer back cause i got it working again. Advice?

He gave IT to you. Did he forget that already?

Keep it and rub his face in it.

Tell him he can have it back in the condition he gave it to you in, or he can pay for the work you did on it.
You can't really say it any better than that.
Well I suppose the secret third option could be just saying "No, I bothered to fix it..."

But that's a bit harsh.

I'd say that it's yours, you asked if you could have it, he said yes and handed it over.

But just don't say no, that'd be rash, first talk to him about it. Explain your reasons why you would want to keep it. If he really wants it back badly, work out a deal.

Thirded. He either forks out for the repairs, you take the repairs back, or you keep it. That's fair, and if I was in his position, I would understand the logic behind that.

He gave YOU it, YOU paid for new parts, YOU invested time to fix it and HE wants it back.
it's yours now and if he makes a fuss rub it in his face.

yeah he payed for the new parts in the pc, you might as well sell it back to him, (for a higher price of course)

and use that money to buy a bass =D

Did he pass it to you to repair it, or did he give it to you cause it wasn't working?

If he gave it to you..then its yours.

End of story.

Charge him for the parts you replaced and give it back. He did ask you to repair it after all.

this is why you need to be more clear when he gave you it back under what would happen when fixed.

anyway he gave it to you to fix
after alot of effort u fixed it, either keep it and be an arse or give at back for a service charge + new peices cost.

I'm guessing that you don't need the PC so get him to pay for the repairs plus a builders fee ;)

You really should't give in to him.He gave it to you and there was no agreement for you to fix it and give it back.
