A question about Resident Evil 4

For those familiar with Resident Evil 4, you can re-play the game with all of your weapons from the previous playthrough. The problem when starting a new game however, is that it doesn't let you choose a different difficulty. You must play it on the same difficulty you selected on the previous playthrough. I wanted to play it through on professional after completing it on normal, but it doesn't seem like I can do it with all my guns.

My question is does anyone know how I could start a new game on professional WITH all my guns? I realise it's unlikely, but I thought it was probably best to ask before giving up

Ha ha, no. This is hard core. Not like Resident Evil 5 where you keep your guns regardless of difficulty. Professional has to be done--the first time--from the beginning. However, once you do get it, you get the PLR which kills EVERYTHING in one hit. It breaks the game basically. Totally worth it.
