So me and some friends recently started a campaign of Star Wars D20 Revised Edition. Problem is we live all over the state (Texas, as it were), and we can't find any online RPG sites that offer good tools and chat features. We tried rpgtonight.com, but didn't like it. Have any of you don't tabletop games online? What's a good service for that kind of game that's free/cheap? Any help is much appreciated.

RPTools (mainly MapTool, but the rest go with it) are generally considered pretty good for free tabletop simulators. I really liked the looks of FantasyGrounds (it's extremely pretty), but it costs money, and not the amount I'd call "free/cheap".

I'm afraid I haven't used either of these products in an actually game setting though, so I can't tell you how well they actually work. the only thing I have actually used, and can tell you it works somewhat well, if it's not a map based game is AOL chat (it was the only one we knew with a dice rolling feature) and some sort of voice chat system. I'm hoping one of the above options works better than that though.
