A question for Wii U owners

Yesterday I bought myself a Wii U and I want to transfer over all my VC and Wiiware games and save files from my Wii to my U.From looking up how this works it seems that(rather annoyingly)I can't transfer the stuff directly from the SD card they're on but instead have to transfer everything back to the Wii system memory and then over to the Wii U.Problem is all my stuff won't fit on the system memory hence why it's on an SD card to begin with

So I guess my question is.Can you transfer everything over in stages or does it have to be done in one go?I can't find anything about this so any info from people who've actually used this transfer thingy would be much appreciated

While I haven't done it myself, I believe the transfer is a complete process, everything is transferred all at once. You can't pick and choose what to transfer I think. Maybe I'm wrong since I haven't done it like I said. Though it may allow for multiple transfers if you have enough stuff to fill more than one hard drive.

If you can't find any definite answers elsewhere online, I would suggest contacting Nintendo tech support.

Strange thing happened to me where my Wii shop channel account data transferred, but all my save data wouldn't transfer at all.
OT: It has to be done in one go, good luck.

Ok it appears I was getting slightly confused.I didn't realise the full Wii shop channel service was available on Wii U so all I have to transfer is my save data and purchase history and I can redownload the games directly onto my Wii U.That makes things a whole lot easier.
