A question on ADSL

Ok. I want to upgrade my internet its currently ADSL and i want to upgrade to ADSL 2 does that mean i will have to buy new gear ?

I have a netcomm modem (it has ADSL2 modem router written below netcomm)
& Netgear wireless router
Also i use a wireless adaptor for my desktop (netgear adaptor)

Umm, I don't think so. If your current stuff is ADSL2 comparable, then it shouldn't be a problem. You might have to get different wiring tho maybe. Like, get in an electrition. Like, for me to get ADSL2 that's what I would have to do.

In terms of modem/router just check the box/underneath it whatever and see if it says ADSL2+ compatible. In terms of wiring, go to the ISP you are looking to connect with and check if you can get it in your area, I doubt very much you would need to rewire your house to get ADSL2+.
