So I'm here at 5am, 2 hours before I must wake up for college but I can't sleep because I woke at 5pm yesterday(I got scared into staying up by the noises my radiator makes[yes I'm scared of the demonic growls my radiator makes, don't judge me]) and I notice that my bedsheet is turned over the wrong way, as in the up side ius facing down. This made me remember how I often turn my bed sheet over in my sleep. Does this sound like some manner of psychological issue to you, or am I just subconsciously finding the cooler side?

I'd say you're subconsciously doing it.
But then again, I have no experience in the stuff what so ever. I do it, however so I'll watch this thread with interest.

i remember when i was little (about 5) i would always wake up, laying the opposite direction as i was when i went to sleep, so i would wake up with my head at the foot of the bed rather than the head of the bed~

Dear effiilctar, I am informing you that you suffer from a psychological disease known as Johannesburg Syndrome, in which you turn the sheets of your bed over several times in the night. Later in your life you will begin to notice changes in your appearance and behavior as well. Your face will begin to shrivel up, causing large canyons of skin to form on your cheeks and forehead, and your hair will either begin to fall out or turn a strange grayish color. Your bones will grow more brittle, and your sexual performance will decrease significantly. Eventually, you will die a painless death around the age of seventy.

I'm so sorry to hear you suffer from this awful disease.

I flip the pillow over in my sleep.

And laugh. Hysterically. Apparantly, Ive never heard me do it.

Sounds like it's subconscious to me, I do all kinds of odd things in my sleep to get comfortable and this sounds similar.

One time at a summer camp, I apparently woke up asking where I was. I don't remember though

I sleep on a the top of a bunk-bed at a couple of times of woken up on the floor, no idea how i got there.

I also can't go to sleep without a fan, for noise, apparently my parents had a fan when I was a baby.

Also I some times wake up with nothing on my bed, I remove the sheets and blanket, don't remember doing that either.

I do this a lot, I fall asleep while on my laptop, then when I wake up I look in my history and there are all these sites I can't remember going to, like a video I had never seen, seriously I hope I remember this.

He might be asleep for a while though.

It seems to bother me sleeping if there's noise about, but it doesn't stop me. Then again sometimes I voluntarily don't sleep for a while... that or I have work to do >.>

Is there anyway to help him doctor?

I think everyone has weird sleeping habits. I carry out full conversations in my sleep. Also, one time I went to camp and got stuck with a top bunk for the sleeping arrangements. I woke up on the floor 3 days out of 5.

I'm up at 5.30.

I would say I'm nocturnal, but I'm awake days too.

But at least it's the holidays for another week, though I have a scary amount of work for Uni piling up now (having been doing nothing for a fortnight). I sometimes spend 4-5 days&nights awake, and then sleep for 24-48 hours in one go. Not fun - it seriously messes up your health :D

Must learn to actually go to bed at a reasonable hour this term...and not sit around on here lurking for hours on end.

I too blame the Escapist for my lack of sleep during holidays. With the constant supply of intellegent discussion, it feels like a chore to come away from it to sleep, in case I miss something.

That was the way I spent my entire last summer break, just because I could.

This time of night I'm more concerned about missing an epic flame-war and having it 403 the next morning when everyone is talking about it.

What? I get tired and like a bit of anger, it's what makes lurking and getting radiation poisoning from a monitor fun.

Yeah, I never stay up for any particular reason (unless I've an essay due in or something) - the last time I did a multiple-day stretch was because I was bored. 52DVDs later (NB: hyperbole, but probably not too much) and appeasing the girlfriend and I was still bored, and decided sleep might actually help. Sleeping for 2 days solid did not appease the girlfriend, 15 missed calls and she thought I had died. Oops.

Apparently I run (or kick) when I sleep but oddly enough I wake up in the same position I went to sleep in
