Suppose you don't have any artistic talent, but would like to WRITE your own comic book, how exactly do you go about this? How do you format what you're writing? Like a script? Or more like a novel, any input you give is greatly appreciated.

Well.....I'd do the plot and the art seperately. Treat the plot as you would for a novel, and once its done, start writing it in comic book format.

Pretty much. This is assuming you mean a comic like a DC or Marvel one as opposed to a 4 strip webcomic.

I think a lot of comics are written 1 panel at a time, with each panel having the dialogue written like a script, and the pictures described like stage directions.

do a basic story board. You don't have to draw good pictures but a basic indication of what they're doing and the situation etc. will help.

Comics tend to be written in scripts then illustrated. Writers tend to vary in the amount of direction they include over images but I'm sure there is info out there. The challenge is finding a good artist, I'm sure they are rarer than writers!

Just write your plot ideas and dialogue down on some paper and get a buddy to do the art for you.
